Frequently Asked Questions Question: I intend to renew membership and keep track of my CPD points. The 3 membership subscription classifications are a little confusing and I am not sure which one is relevant. The system uses a standard internet shopping module and allows automatic subscription tracking. Multiple subscriptions can now be purchased in a single transaction. Therefore you can purchase the number of subscriptions for annual fees then continue shopping to purchase one or more years of CPD subscriptions. If there are any mistakes you can delete or alter your requirements before proceeding to payment.
At the last OGM the Association agreed to allow mining officials, ineligible to join the Association, to register and have their CPD maintained by the Association CPD Committee, these persons will register under this option. The annual fee for this subscription has been set at $100. Question: I am a new member and was sent to a different site to pay my joining and membership fees. Do I have to pay the Membership Renewal (12 months) before I subscribe to CPD? New members who have paid their subscription through the New Member site do not have to purchase Membership Renewal in their first year. Just purchase CPD Registration Members Only (12 months). Question: I have been notified that I have been accepted as a new member and have to pay my fees. How do I do this? If you have not received an email notification with instructions please email info@minemanagers.com.au Question: I am a financial member but have NOT received a user name and password, Why not? The reason you have not received an email notification is: (i) we do not have your email address in the database or (ii) the address has been rejected by your email service provider. Please send an email to info@minemanagers.co.au if you think you may be in this category. If your dues are in arrears you will be notified separately and on payment of the arrears you will be provided with a user name and password. Question: I have received my user name and password but will the Association be sending out a membership renewal and meeting acceptance by regular post? We do not intend to send a postal notification to members whose email addresses have not been rejected during the current email distribution. It is our intention to post meeting and CPD notifications on the web site with registration and payment being available, however, 20% of our members, those without email addresses, will continue to receive notifications by mail. Question: How secure is the Eway payment gateway? All of the major banks endorse Eway as a secure internet payment portal. Question: Can I still pay my fees and meeting subscriptions by cash or cheque? Our preference is for members to pay their subscriptions on the site. This process will give you an instant receipt and automatically update your subscription expiry date from year to year. However, we do not intend to prevent payment by cash or cheque Question: I have subscribed to register for CPD participation but there are no secure navigation pages or useful content available, Why? Your personal CPD data is available under the sub heading "CPD Status" tab which appears after you log in and under the "Secure Area Log In" tab. Question: How will I know when my annual fees or CPD renewal subscriptions are due? Current membership subscriptions, ie those members who recently received their user name and password, will expire on 31 July 2004. Payment should be made before this date or you may not be able to log in to the secure area of the site. Next year the site will be programmed to email you subscription reminders. The first will be 1 month before payment is due, the second 1 week and the 3rd 1 week before you are automatically refused access to the secure site.
